Meet the Team

Founder and CEO Neaners founded Hope For Homies Second Chance Outreach in 2018. He sets strategy, provides leadership, and works directly with those we serve. He is a former gang leader and inmate turned advocate for youth and adults trying to change their lives for the better.

Youth Navigator Swiff serves as a Youth Navigator at Hope for Homies, where he transforms his personal history into a roadmap for others. After spending nearly half his life incarcerated, Swiff redirected his journey to become a pillar of support for justice-involved youth. He is a passionate advocate for narrative change, focusing his work on helping others overcome similar struggles and demonstrating that success is possible regardless of where you start.

Ricky May is the founder of the TRUE program that's centered to supporting young people impacted by incarceration and community violence. After being sentenced at 16 and serving 16 years under the accomplice liability act, Ricky transformed his experience into a mission to uplift today’s youth. Today, Ricky leads programs that provide mentorship, structure, and real opportunities for boys and girls navigating instability and systemic barriers.

Daniel came to our community youth group and short transitioned to a staff member in 2023 as Lead Navigator for Job Readiness Mentorship and Steady Assistance.

My name is jaelen irvis, and I am a Mentor and Navigator for SNO HFH. I am a young Black father who has experienced gun violence at a very early age, multiple times. Those experiences shaped my purpose and passion for guiding others toward safety, healing, and opportunity. I am committed to supporting youth and families who are impacted by violence and systemic barriers. My hope is to help create pathways to growth, resilience, and lasting change for every person I serve.

Umari Nash is a Youth Advocate at Hope for Homies, dedicated to empowering young people and strengthening his community. Alongside his advocacy work, he contributes to building the organization’s clothing brand and uses his skills as an artist to bridge cultures and inspire connection—starting with the neighborhood that raised him.

LEAD Program Manager Having just lost her job before Thanksgiving, Grace called Hope for Homies hoping for Christmas assistance for her son's step siblings who had just lost their mom a year past, upon learning her situation was offered an interview at Hope for Homies. She now have become a part of Hope for Homies as admin and LEAD Model Program Manager.
