TRUE Youth Program

The Mission The TRUE Youth Program is centered on supporting young people impacted by incarceration and community violence. We aim to uplift today’s youth by providing the mentorship, structure, and real opportunities needed to navigate instability and systemic barriers.

Our Story Founded by Ricky May, the program was born from a mission to transform lived experience into positive change. After being sentenced at age 16 and serving 16 years under the accomplice liability act, Ricky dedicated his journey to ensuring other young people have the tools to succeed. While incarcerated, he developed the core curriculum that powers the program today—a framework designed to help teens build identity, emotional awareness, and healthier decision-making skills.

What We Do TRUE provides dedicated guidance to boys and girls who are facing the toughest challenges. By focusing on emotional growth and practical structure, we give youth the guidance and hope required to break cycles of violence and incarceration.
